Meet Your Certified Piano Technician, Alissa Ressel
A Legacy of Music and Precision
My relationship with the piano started at home in Massachusetts, sitting at the keys of a 1949 Baldwin Acrosonic. That piano was a gift from my grandfather to my mother, and it was the instrument I learned on growing up. Today, as I restore that same heirloom—replacing key materials and refining its action—I am reminded that a piano isn’t just a machine; it’s a piece of family history.
I’ve been around music my whole life. I started playing piano when I was seven. I obtained my B.A. in Music from UMass Amherst. In 2020, I started tuning pianos. In 2026, I became a Certified Piano Technician and launched Seven Hills Piano Service.
By day, I am a Quality Engineer with over 20 years of experience in the Medical Device industry. I founded Seven Hills Piano Service to maintain a link between my music background and technical skills. My goal is to ensure that every piano I touch is treated with the same care and respect I give to my own family’s legacy.
